The Word of His Grace.

“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” Acts 20:32(KJV)

The 'Word' in our opening scripture refers to the word 'logos' in the Greek  which refers to something said, including thoughts. So the Word of His grace refers to the doctrine of grace, the preaching of grace, the talk of grace and the utterance of grace. In other words, God's message to us is about grace. This means that if you are going to grow spiritually, you must hear the message of grace.

From observation I noticed that churches where they emphasize the law, the people find it difficult to change and grow spiritually. Therefore, I want you to understand that the message of grace is very important to your spiritual growth and development in Christ. This is because the Bible says in our opening scripture that the Word of His grace is able to build you up. The message Bible puts Acts 20:32 this way, “Now I'm turning you over to God, our marvelous God whose gracious Word can make you into what he wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends.”

So if you want to grow spiritually, expose yourself to the Word of His grace. The gospel of grace teaches that you are righteous because of faith in what Jesus Christ has done for you (Romans 3:22). But the law teaches that  you are righteous because of the deeds of the law. But an understanding of righteousness according to the gospel of grace is vital for spiritual growth according to Hebrews 5:13 which says, “For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.”

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your grace that you have lavished upon me. Thank you Father for your grace empowers me to be all that you want me to be, and qualifies me to enjoy all my inheritance in Christ Jesus. My heart and my mind is annointed to receive a fresh understanding of your grace in this season in Jesus Name. Amen.
