Not every sickness is caused by sin

“And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” John 9:1-3(KJV)

Do you know that every sickness is not caused by sin? This is because some people believe that every sickness is caused by sin. They are just like the disciples of Jesus who believed that the blind man in our opening scripture was born blind because of sin. But Jesus corrected them saying, “Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” This proves that not all sicknesses are caused by sin.

Therefore, whether the particular challenge in your health was caused by sin or not, it is not God's will for you to continue suffering in any form of sickness or disease. I want you to know that Jesus came so that the works of God should be made manifest in you today.

Jesus has not changed. He is still healing the sick today. The Bible says in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” So just as Jesus went ahead to heal that man, He can heal you today.

This is because God takes advantage of people's problems to manifest His glory. So when someone is sick, He heals them to manifest His goodness. When someone is oppressed, God delivers them to manifest His power.

Therefore, I want you to remember this, no matter how difficult that challenge may be, it becomes a divine opportunity for God to show Himself strong on your behalf as a proof of His love.
