Word Based Confidence

“Now faith is [the] assurance [or, substance] of [things] being hoped for [or, being confidently expected], [the] confident assurance [or, proof] of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1(ALT)

In your life of faith, your confidence should always come from the word of God. Be confident knowing that, whatever God has said is certain to come to pass in your life.

Why do we expect the sick to get well when we pray for them? The Bible says in Mark 16:16-17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Therefore, because of your faith in that word, you are confident when you pray for the sick knowing that they are going to get well.

So, your faith is an offspring of the word of God. In other words, no word, no faith, because faith originates from the word of God.

Therefore, if you are truly standing in faith concerning any area of your life, you must have a scripture in the word of God that you are exercising your faith on. For instance, if someone says, “I have faith I will be healed.” If asked why he so believes he will be healed, and he has no scripture backing his expectation, that is not faith, that is hope.

This is why some people still die even when they kept on saying they believe God can heal them. Why? They were only expressing their hope not faith.

If it is faith, then it must be based on the word of God. In other words, there must be a scripture you are holding on to in the word of God.

For it to be faith, you must be operating from the word of God.

PRAYER
Dear Father your word says in 1 Peter 2:24, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” On account of that word, I declare that I am the healed of Christ and I declare wholeness in every part of my being in Jesus Name. Amen.
