Be specific

Saturday, June 25th
Be specific.

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Mark 11:24

For your prayer to produce the desired result specially when praying for your needs, your request must be very specific. David Yonggi Cho told the story of how he believed God for a chair, table and bicycle. He prayed everyday for it. Then, one day, God told him to give the exact specifications for the chair, table and bicycle he wanted because there are different kinds. When he became more specific, giving God all the specifications for the kind of chair, table and bicycle he wanted, in due time, he got them all exactly as specified. Praise God.

In Mark chapter 10:47-48, a blind man was crying out to Jesus to have mercy on him. Everyone could see that the man was blind, but when Jesus asked that the man should be brought, He asked the man in Mark 10:51, “What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” This was when the blind man became more specific saying, “Lord, that I might receive my sight.”

It was at this point, when the man was specific concerning what he wanted from Jesus that he got what he desired of the Lord. The Bible says in Mark 10:52, “And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”

Instruction.
Just like David Yonggi Cho and the blind man, be very specific with your demands; give God the exact specification of what you desire with as much detail as possible, then receive them in your spirit, thanking the Lord for their delivery.

For further study, read:
Matthew 21:22, John 14:13, 1 John 3:22.

Doing the Word
Do not use your words to contradict your demands after you make them.
