Personal Growth 1

“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and
was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto
Israel.”

Luke 1:80.

If you are going to have a profitable year, you
must be constantly committed to your personal
growth. You must be diligent. You cannot
achieve anything significant without a proper
commitment to personal growth.

Our opening scripture shows us that John the
Baptist needed to grow before he could fulfill his
purpose. It therefore means that you also have to
grow in order to fulfill your purpose and destiny in
God.

What about Jesus? The Bible reveals that He also
was committed to personal growth processes. In
Luke 2:40 the Bible says, “And the child grew, and
waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the
grace of God was upon him.”

Luke 2:51-52 says, “And he went down with them,
and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them:
but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in
favour with God and man.”

Physical growth is automatic but spiritual growth
is not, it is intentional. Therefore I encourage you to
take responsibility for your spiritual growth by
exposing yourself to materials and teachings that
will facilitate your personal growth.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You grant unto me the
Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of You, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
