Plan Your Finance

“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but
hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.”
Proverbs 21:5 (NLT)

Our opening scripture shows us that one of
the reasons why people are poor is because of a lack of planning. Sometimes, the lack in
the lives of some people is not because they do not
earn a reasonable amount of money, but it is because
they do not plan their money. If you spend all your
money as it comes without planning and budgeting,
you will be poor.

How do you manage your finances? The first thing
you ought to do when you receive money is to
remove your tithe. The next thing you need to
consider, if you are a salary earner, is to remove all
your offerings for that month. Set it aside so that
your offerings are already planned.

Another important factor to consider in managing
your finances is savings. How much percentage of
your finance are you going to save every month?
You can save at least twenty percent. At this point,
after you have removed your tithe, your offerings
and your savings, you can now consider your
expenses.

I encourage you to have a budget for your expenses
so you can effectively manage your spending.
Having a budget will put a check on how you
spend.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I believe I receive wisdom and
prudence to manage my finances effectively, in
Jesus' Name. Amen.

Doing the Word
Stop comparing yourself with others when it
comes to spending. It is planning your finances
well that will lead to prosperity.
