Develop Character 2

“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”
   John 7:38-39.

If you are going to develop your character then you must pray. You must cultivate your personal devotional time. This is different from your devotion time with your family members. You must have your personal devotion daily. Just you and the Holy Spirit. As you spend time praying in other tongues having fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you are washing yourself from uncleanness because according to our opening scripture, from the Holy Spirit comes living water which flows out of your  belly and this living water cleanses you.

Just as the Word of God washes the contaminations in your mind, the Holy Spirit washes the contaminations in your spirit. Your spirit can be polluted, this is why the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 7:1, “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Therefore if your spirit have been polluted because of the movies you watched or the negative and foul words you heard, you can cleanse yourself from those pollutions by taking out time to pray in the spirit and let the rivers of living water cleanse you.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I receive grace to live my life above reproach. I ask that You make me perfect in every good work to do Your will, working in me that which is well pleasing in Your sight, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
