Addicted To God 2

“My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand
upholdeth me.”
Psalm 63:8.

I will like you to think about the words spoken
by the Psalmist in our opening scripture. Can you
say that about yourself concerning your
relationship with your heavenly Father? Is your
soul following hard after Him? This refers to loving
and going after the Lord with your whole being.
You cling to Him with all your mind, will and
emotions. You are completely desperate for Him.
Your mind is always fixed on Him because you love
Him entirely.

When your soul is after God in love, you will not
struggle to pray. You will have a healthy prayer life
because you cannot do without fellowshipping
with Him. For instance, when you are in love with
someone, you naturally love to spend time in their
presence talking and fellowshipping with them. If
you are missing out on that with God, there is a
prayer I recommend you pray for yourself always
until that passionate love for the Lord is restored.

This was the prayer Paul prayed for the Philippian
church in Philippians 1:9, “And this I pray, that
your love may abound yet more and more in
knowledge and in all judgment;” Pray this prayer
for yourself always and don't stop until you see
your love abounding and increasing towards God
again. Praying this prayer will also empower you to
“… approve things that are excellent; that ye may
be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which
are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of
God.” Philippians 1:10-11.

Prayer.
Dear Father I ask that You will cause my love to
abound yet more and more in knowledge and in
all judgment; that I may approve things that are
excellent; that I may be sincere and without
offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with
the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus
Christ, to Your praise and glory, in Jesus' Name.
