“I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law
is within my heart.” Psalm 40:8 (KJV)
What
does God want to do with your life? Find
out God’s purpose for your existence and it will stand you out from the rest of
the world.
Have
you ever thought of Mother Theresa, who served in India as a missionary. She
was living in God’s dream for her life. Because she was living out her purpose,
God preserved her life. This is because in India, the Hindus usually stone
Christians for preaching the gospel. Yet
Mother Theresa was there helping them to Christ and nobody could do anything to
her. When she died the whole nation of India held a state ceremony for her
burial, a Hindu nation burying a so called Christian enemy because she was in
God’s plan.
When
you find God’s plan for your life, you don’t need to try to be popular. You
don’t need to try to promote yourself, just keep on promoting God’s dream for
your life. Look at Jesus Christ, he did not have to try to publicize himself,
he just lived for God’s purpose, and till today, Jesus is still the most
popular man in history.
Number
two, ‘Time magazine’, called Jesus Christ, the greatest leader of all time, yet
he never moved beyond Israel. He lived in just a small streak of land and yet
he is still recognized as the greatest man that ever lived on earth till today.
If
you will find Gods purpose, there is no telling how far God is going to take
you. All you need to do is to ask, Lord, what was I born to do? And He will
tell you. He can tell you to start a school.
But whatever He tells you to do, don’t say, “I don’t have the money,” He
is your help, so just start with what you have. The enemy will fight you, so
strongly. Don’t get discouraged, it is a sure sign that you are in the ‘will’
of God for your life.
The word for ‘will,’ whether in
the Hebrew or Greek means pleasure, desire, an intense desire that brings you
ultimate satisfaction. So, when am living in God’s will, he gets ultimate
satisfaction. No wonder He said about Jesus in Matthew 3:17, “This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
This was the sole aim and desire of Jesus. He only
wanted to please the Father. That is why He said in Hebrews 10:7, “Then said I,
Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O
God.”
The Father’s satisfaction over your life is what
counts. Not popularity. Many of the popular people on earth will have little
rewards in heaven, because they lived outside of God’s plan for their lives.
Your whole duty is to live in His will and bring Him pleasure all your days.
Prayer.
Father I ask that you align my life according to
your will and purpose for me in Jesus Name. Amen.
Read: Isaiah 42:1, Matthew 12:18, 2 Peter 1:17.
Doing the word.
Let doing God’s will for your life be your utmost
priority
