Let God guide you.

    

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”                                                                                                                                Romans 12:2 (KJV) 

If your mind is not renewed, you would not be able to tell God’s perfect will for your life. That’s why you have to make out time to study the word of God. The bible did not say that pastors alone should read the bible, it says in James 1:25, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

Renew your mind. Renewing your mind would help you to be sensitive to God’s voice and His leading for your life. It will save you from making some mistakes. For example, Kenneth Hagin spent twelve years as a pastor, but God never called him to pastor. That means there are pastors pastoring today that God never called to pastor. But because they did not ask him for details, neither are they sensitive to know God’s will for their lives, they keep going their own way.

The fact that God has called you does not mean you should just jump up and start a church. Some sit down at home to find the name they like, and call the church whatever name they like without hearing from God. The bible says, in Philippians 3:18-19 “(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)”

God calls such men enemies of the cross because; when God calls you to do something it will require self denial. So, what are your motives for doing what you do? World Renowned Evangelist, Reheinard Bonke has no church, he is a member of the Assemblies of God, Orlando, in Florida. Yet one of his crusades cost millions of dollars. How does he do that? He has taken God as his source.

Mother Theresa lived her life caring and showing love in far away Calcutta, India, and her life was inspiring ministers all over the world, even though she didn’t know them. She didn’t preach a sermon, she only lived a life. What greater sermon can you preach than your life?  

What is God telling you to do? Don’t try to reason it out from the world’s view point. Renew your mind with the word of God and just do it from your heart with the right motives and all the supplies you require will be there for you.

Prayer.

Father I ask that as I renew my mind with your word, let my heart be sensitive to your voice and the leading of God’s Spirit to be able to walk in God’s perfect will for my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

      Always follow the guidance of God’s Spirit and not your mind, tradition or worldly thinking in        carrying out God’s vision for your life.
