“But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have
appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness”
Acts 26:16 (KJV).
It
has been said that, the saddest thing that could ever happen to anybody is to
discover what you could have been. The saddest thing is not the accident, it is
not the theft, but what you could have been.
The
guy that goes to hell remembers he could be born again, the one that goes to
heaven remembers he could have lived a better life. Do not be one of those who
live as though God’s purpose is not important to them, forgetting that purpose
will bring you other things which others seek.
God did not make you to pursue things; he made
things to pursue you. Just pursue God’s purpose, pursue God’s will, and all
these things will pursue you. (Matthew 6:33).
Maybe you don’t spend time praying, you don’t
see any reason to pray, you just wake up in the morning, mutter a short prayer,
and then go about your day. Some don’t even pray at all. But if you have an
exam, your eye will not close, yet your destiny, the real exam you have, you never
spend time to pray about it.
If
you believe fulfilling your destiny is important to you, you will go after it
with all your heart. For if you don’t, the bible says, he will not cast what is
precious to swine’s (Matthew 7:6). Have you come to know that if you leave this
world and you lived outside Gods plan, it is as though you never lived, you
will go to heaven because you believed in Jesus, but you will have no reward.(1
Corinthians 3:13-15).
Pa
Elton, the man that raised many of the big men of God you see in our country
today. Initially, when he came to Nigeria, he started building orphanages and
hospitals. Then, as he was getting older in years, he said, “Father, I thank
you I have fulfilled your plan”. Then God asked him, “Which plan? Did I send
you to build hospitals? He answered and said, “But Lord, I built the hospitals
for you.”
Then,
God said to him, “When I sent you to Nigeria, I told you to raise me men”. So,
he handed over all his orphanages and hospitals to different people and he
started raising men. When he adjusted, God spoke to Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa,
and asked him to go to the West and look for Pa Elton. He told him that man, is
your spiritual father. At his old age, He raised men and gave Nigeria most of
our great men. He fulfilled God's plan for his life.
Spend
time with Holy Spirit and with the word, and let it adjust your thinking, in
line with God’s plan and purpose for your life.
Father,
help me to live my life with such precision, in such a way that there will be
no cause of regrets in my life. In Jesus Name. Amen.
