“For the vision is yet for an appointed
time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it;
because it will surely come, it will not tarry” Habakkuk 2:3(KJV).
I heard about
a Man of God in America, who had a heart attack and died. While he was in a
coma, he said I kept on telling God in my heart, “Lord remember the vision is
not yet fulfilled. He said suddenly, his consciousness returned, and he came
back to life.
God’s vision,
purpose and plan for your life is more important to Him than it is to you. God specially
designed you for your purpose. So, you are a once in a lifetime opportunity to
God and this world. Therefore take your purpose seriously. If you do not
fulfill your purpose, it will be a loss to God and to this world.
A man stood
with a gun facing a popular minister in America, right in a church service, saying,
“bow now to the power of satan.” He continued, “I want to show the whole world
that satan is more powerful than God.” The minister told him to shoot. The man
fired his gun and three bullets went to the right and three to the left, none
touched the minister of God.
Purpose
preserves life. Find it; it will add value to your existence. Living outside
God’s purpose for your life is denying God his dream. That’s why you have to be
born again; because that’s the only way you get into it.
Find out why you came into this world, because when you
find your purpose and walk in it, it will eliminate all distractions from your
life. This was the way the Apostle Paul lived his life. That is why Paul said
in Acts 20:24, “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto
myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I
have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” Just like the Apostle Paul, purpose
should be the anchor of your focus. When you find it, your whole life changes. Your whole world changes.
Romans 8: 28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to
them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” This was what happened to Joseph,
because he lived in God’s purpose. When you find your purpose, you cannot be
disadvantaged.
At an early age, Joseph’s brothers hated him and sold him
into slavery. On getting to Portipher’s house as a slave, Portipher,s wife lied
on him, and Joseph found himself in prison. But it only drew him closer to the
fulfillment of His purpose; because the prison was the only place he could meet
the Pharaoh’s cup bearer. He interpreted the cup bearer’s dream in prison, and
his interpretation came to pass just as he said.
Two years after the cup bearer was
released from prison, he did not remember Joseph until Pharaoh had a dream.
This means that sometimes, God has to let you stay in a waiting place until the
appointed time of your exposure. Though sometimes you may not appreciate the
waiting place. Only be rest assured, knowing that if you stick to God’s
purpose, you will surely see its fulfillment at the appointed time.
PRAYER
Father, I thank you for your
grace is released upon me, to stay focused on your vision for my life. In Jesus
Name. Amen.
Read: Psalm 102:13, Daniel
10:14, Hebrews 10:36.
DOING THE WORD
Pursue your vision with
patience. It may seem slow, wait for it. It’s on the way. It will come right on
time.
