“Where there is no vision, the people
perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
Vision here means, ‘to see,’ it refers to prophetic
insight. In other words, the word is saying to us that where there is no vision
(no insight), the people perish. Vision can also be defined as insight with
foresight. It is the ability to see into the future.
Vision could also mean a redemptive revelation. So,
where there is no redemptive revelation, the people perish. They become
disorganized. So if we are going to be organized as the body of Christ or as
individuals, we must understand God’s vision.
Churches are been started all over the world and not
many of them know or even have God’s vision. For many it is an assumption or a
reaction. But until we get a hold of the concept of vision, the body of Christ
will still be behind.
I remember listening to a speech by one of the most
influential men in the world, though he is not born again. He said, he lives
his life with a sense of mission and a sense of purpose. Yet some Christians don’t
even know that there is a purpose for their lives. Some are unaware of it.
You have to live with a sense of purpose to be able
to impact the world. I remember watching a business man been interviewed, “he
said I never do anything to make money, I only do things to make a difference.”
And he is a billionaire. They are able to achieve these things because they
live with a sense of purpose.
Therefore, if your life is going to amount to
anything, and if you want your life to make a global impact, you have to find
out God’s vision for your life, and begin to live with the sense of purpose and
direction it gives to you.
Living with a sense of purpose will certainly organize you and set you on the path of prosperity and increase.
