Finding fulfillment.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”                                                                                               Proverbs 29:18 (KJV).

Your fulfillment in life is tied to your fulfilling God’s plan and purpose for your life.  Until you identify God’s plan and purpose for your life, you would never be fulfilled, and you also cannot measure your progress in life. This is because, if you do not know where you are going, how do you know that you have arrived.

Let’s assume a deaf and dumb man went to the park, wanting to go to Port Harcourt without any direction. Worse still, if he cannot read and write, he will enter into any bus. This is because he cannot hear the call to Port Harcourt; and he cannot understand the signs on the way to Port Harcourt. So, he is lost in life. In the same way, many people are lost in life.

This may have happened to you; you are out walking on the street in search of a place, then you walk up to someone for directions, then he tells you to go in a certain direction. Only for you to get there and discover that place is not where you are going. Meaning he directed you wrongly. So, all your efforts and time was wasted.

To avoid this from been the story of your life, you must know to whom you are assigned, and where you are assigned, and what you are assigned to do, otherwise, you would find yourself doing the right thing at the wrong place. How sad, to discover that all your efforts have been wasted.

Paul the Apostle knew those he was called to reach, God told him clearly in Acts 26:17, “Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee.”

He also knew why God called him to be a minister. In other words, he knew his purpose. We see this in Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

He also knew when he finished. He said in 2 Timothy 4:7 -8, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.”

So, if you want to be truly fulfilled and happy in life, find God’s plan and purpose for your life, and begin to walk in it. By God’s grace you would also finish. Amen.

PRAYER
Father I thank you for the fulfillment that comes from walking in your plan and purpose for my life. I receive grace to finish my course without reproach. In Jesus Name. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
When you find exactly what God wants you to do, do it with all your heart, for by so doing, you will find your fulfillment in life.
