WHAT IS A THOUGHT?

“Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer …”
Job 20:2(KJV)

A thought is an unspoken word. What is a word? A word is a verbalized thought. So, they are related. Thoughts become words, words become thoughts.

As you are reading this right now I am affecting your thoughts. You cannot give permanent change until you change a man's thinking. The Bible tells us of the man that is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he's like a man that beholds his natural face in a glass and he goes his way, and he forgets what manner of man he was (James 1:22-25).

Notice that the man that is not a doer of the word of God is the man that forgets what manner of man he was. The primary issue why he is not a doer and therefore cannot be blessed is because he forgets; that's part of your memory, and your memory is part of your mind.

Some of you have forgotten that you are strong. You've forgotten that you have victory over sin. You've forgotten that you have the wisdom of God in you. You've forgotten that you have a sound mind, you've forgotten. But these words are coming to you to remind you of who you are and to frame your thinking.
This is because it is so important that you have the right thoughts. People who are bound to sin, are bound to sin because of their thoughts, not because the sin is powerful. Therefore, change your thoughts by renewing your mind with the word of God.

PRAYER
Father I thank you for your word fills my heart with the light of the gospel of Christ. Your word is renewing my mind and setting me on the right course always. In Jesus Name. Amen.
