“Finally, my brethren, be srong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10(KJV)
Strength comes from knowing God and His ability. Proverbs 24:5 says, “A wise man is strong, yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.” Then Proverbs 24:10 says,” if thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small,” In other words, to increase knowledge is to increase strength.
The bible tells us in Daniel 11:32. “… but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” In other words, knowledge strengthens you. So, it is important that you go for the knowledge of truth in the word of God.
Ephesians 6:11 says, “put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Notice the word of God is telling us here to be clothed with the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against all the wiles of the devil. Take note that the purpose of putting on the armour is that you will be able to withstand all the wiles of the devils.
You need to understand what the word ‘wiles’ means. Wiles is from the Greek word ‘methodeia. ‘It means, ‘ methods. travesty, tickery, wiles, to lie in wait. Strategies or deceit’. So, we know from this that satan’s way of working is by deceit.
So when you put on the whole armour of God, you will be strengthened against all the deceits of the devil.
