Liberated by truth 2.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that the truth we know is what makes us free. That is, the truth we know establishes our liberty.

You are only as free as the truth you know. That is why you must guard your heart from the deception of satan.

In 2 Corinthians 11:2-3, the Bible says, “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” From this scripture we see that satan deceives people through his subtilty.

Subtilty in the Greek is from the word 'panourgia;' it means trickery, cunning or craftiness. So, we can see that satan deceived Eve through his craftiness. This shows us that satan takes advantage of people who are ignorant. That is why we have learnt about things like anger, bitterness, strife, quarrels, etc. and how we must guard our hearts against such. Being ignorant of these things has caused a lot of people to suffer very much because they did not know the wiles of the devil.

Having success in spiritual warfare is more than just shouting and having all night prayers and yet you are quarreling with your wife. The Bible says that your prayers will be hindered that way. Even if you have forty days all night prayers and fasting and you do not reconcile with your wife, you are still going to have your prayers hindered. So you need to get it right if you are going to have victory in spiritual warfare.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I submit my heart to your truth. Thank you for teaching me to love and live in the victory that we have in Christ above all the deceits of the devil. As I walk in obedience to your revealed truth, may I continually experience the liberty of Christ in every area of my life. In Jesus Name. Amen.
