Walk in love 1

“He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”
1 John 2:10-11(KJV).

From our opening scripture, we can see that if you as a born again child of God refuses to walk in love with your brother in Christ and you choose to live in unforgiveness and bitterness, you will abide in darkness. So, living in unforgivness can keep you under the oppression of the devil.

Colossians 1:13 says, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” From this scripture, we can see that as a child of God, you are not supposed to experience any oppression of the devil in your life, so why are you experiencing such oppression in your life? The Bible says in our opening scripture that it is because you hate your brother. Your brother in this context can be your neighbor, your boss, your friend, your wife, your husband, etc. So long as you have that hatred, the Bible says that you are in darkness until now.

1 John 2:10 says, “He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.” From this we can see that if you are walking in love consistently with your brother, you abide, that is, remain in the light. Light is the symbol of God while darkness is the symbol of satan.

Therefore, as you keep on walking in love with other people and forgiving them, you remain under the umbrella of God's light. And the bible tells us in John 1:5 that, “the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” In other words, darkness cannot overcome light.

So, if I want to keep on having victory to victory consistently, it is important that I learn to forgive and not hold anger and practice the Words of Jesus in Matthew 5:43-45, “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven …”   For as you do what the Word of God says, you are going to get Bible results and you will be free from all oppressions of satan.

CONFESSION
The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. I have the love of God increasing and abounding in my heart every day. God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of love and of a sound mind. The love of God reigns and rules in my heart above every form of bitterness and ungodliness. Amen.
