As He is...

Thursday, July 28th As He is … “… because as he is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17 Our opening scripture really dawned on me many years ago when the Lord shared with me what I am going to share with you today. The Lord said, if I am as He is, whatever is in Him that made Him what He is, is in me. Also, if I am as He is, whatever is on Him that made Him what He is, is on me. And if I am as He is, whatever He has that made Him what He is, I have it. That rocked my world. This is why we say that Christianity is not a religion; it is a union. Christianity is man becoming united with God. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:17, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” The Amplified Bible puts it this way, “But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.” This means that, as a Christian, in your spirit you are plugged into God. That is what is called the intermingling. That means you are lost in God. Acts 17:28 says, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; …” Ephesians 5:30 says, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” 1 Corinthians 6:15 says, “Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? …” Colossians 3:3 says, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” For anything to touch you, it has to touch God first. When you understand this truth, no missile can work against you. You will know that you are indestructible. That is what it means to be a Christian; you are more than a mere human. You have been united with Christ in God. Confession. In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I am a Christian. I am united with Christ in God. In Him I live, and move and have my being. Whatever is in Him that makes Him what He is, is in me. Whatever is on Him that makes Him what He is, is on me. And whatever He has that makes Him what He is, I have it. Amen.
