Trust Him

Tuesday, July 5th Trust Him. “Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5 (AMP) The measure of grace available to you is equivalent to the measure of your trust in God. Also, the measure with which I trust (lean on, rely on and am confident) in God is a true reflection of my faith in Him. There is a lady in our church who wanted to have a child for many years. Her husband was a medical doctor so they tried and did everything they could medically but she could not conceive. When she gave up on trying and relied on God, immediately she conceived. What changed? She trusted more in God. She committed her way to Him, trusted also in Him and He brought it to pass. That is what you must do. Faith requires focus because faith is an expression of trust, but as long as you still have options you will not trust the Lord with all your heart. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Therefore, if all your heart or focus is not in the Word of God, you are not yet working in faith. Having faith, trusting in God does not mean you should not do what you are supposed to do in living responsibly. Do your part, but when you have done all you know to do and all you know to do is not working as you expect, trust God to cause it to turn out for your good. Your trust in God should cause you to rest from worry and produce a new sense of confidence and assurance that whatever you expect will come to pass. Prayer. Dear Father, I surrender all worries and cares in my heart to you. I chose to rest in Your Word in Romans 8:28, being confident that You cause all things to work together for my good because I love You and because I am called according to your purpose, in Jesus' Name. Amen. For further study, read: Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Peter 5:7, Hebrews 13:5-6. Doing the Word Read out your plans, goals and expectations for the month, thanking the Father for their fulfillment.
