Full of grace and truth.

Saturday, July 16th Full of grace and truth. “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 Our opening scripture shows us that Jesus was full of grace and truth. This means that Jesus is the embodiment of grace and truth. In John 14:6 Jesus said, “… I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” This shows us that truth is not a principle, truth is a person. In Titus 2:11 the Bible says, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,” Jesus is that grace. John 1:16-17 say, “And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” Titus 3:4 says, “But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,” This shows us that Jesus is the kindness and the love of God in action. Several years ago the Lord spoke to me saying, “Make Jesus Christ the central theme of your message.” In other words, talk more about Jesus than anything else. If you read through the scriptures, you will find out that Jesus was the central theme of their message. In 2 Corinthians 4:5 Paul said, “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.” Acts 8:5 says, “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.” Acts 8:35 says, “Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.” When Jesus is the central theme of our message, we will be able to produce the same results seen in the life of Jesus and the Apostles in our day. Prayer. Dear Father, I thank you for I have received of Your fullness. Therefore, I am supplied daily with grace in increasing measure, spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, even favour upon favour and gift heaped upon gift, in Jesus' Name. Amen. For further study, read: John 3:34, 1 Corinthians 1:4-5, Colossians 2:9-10. Doing the Word Express God's grace to the unsaved around you today by preaching Jesus to them. Bible reading for today: John chapters 12-17.
