Act out your faith.

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”            James 2:17

Our opening scripture lets us know that faith does not just end with believing alone. There must be corresponding actions to your faith. If you believe what the word says, then you must act according to what you believe in the word about you or any other area of your life you may be dealing with. That is why the Good News Bible puts James 2:17 this way; “So it is with faith: if it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead.”

Let me explain this using the story about Jessie Duplantis. He needed to raise about 500,000 dollars. So, he saved some money, but the money was not enough. But there was a church that was building close to him, then, God told him to give the money to that church. And he obeyed and gave the church the money for the completion of their building. Because of that act of faith, that same week, Paul Crouch, the owner of TBN, called him and said, “We are going to get you on TBN for free for the next five years.”

That is how faith works. There must be corresponding action. That corresponding action, obligates God to perform. Jessie Duplantis also talked about a time when he and his wife was always wearing old clothes because that was all they had. His family members were mocking them, saying that they did not understand their kind of Christianity. So, they began saving money so they could buy clothes. After some time, God told him to give the money they have been saving for clothes away. Some of us would have been reluctant to do it. But Jessie gave it away. Why did God require that of him? Because God wants him to know that He is the Lord of the harvest.

This has also happened to me as well. At one time in my life, I was believing God to move to the next level of increase, then God said, gather all your clothes, the best ones, and give them to people. I did. And the harvest came. Today, I give out suites. Have faith in God. Not faith in your human ability and schemes. Not faith in your salary; I believe that is why God demands the first fruit of our increase (Proverbs 3:9). He wants to be the Lord of your harvest. He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. So, don’t stop putting your faith to work because your miracle is closer than you think. Be expectant.

PRAYER
Father, my heart is open to hear what you demand of me to do in other for me to move unto the next level of increase I my life. In Jesus Name. Amen.

James 2:26, 2 Peter 1:5-9, Genesis 22:1-18.

DOING THE WORD
Whenever God demands something of you, don’t hesitate to give it to him, because He has much more than that in store for you.
