"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6(KJV).
In other words,
your faith in God gives Him pleasure. So, the man who lives by faith brings
pleasure to God. One of the basic definitions of faith is: "Faith is
acting on the word of God." As a Christian, I have come to understand that
the only issue you would have to deal with in your life is a faith issue.
Someone may say, my problem is sickness. No, the sickness is not the problem,
it is a faith issue. That is what exposed you to sickness. Another person may
say, my problem is money. No, the real issue is a faith issue, because without
faith, you cannot receive from God.
James 1:5 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him
ask of God, that giveth to all men
liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." Notice the
word says, if any of you. That means, the word of God is an equal opportunity
employer. In other words, on the basis of God's word, all men have equal access
before God. So, if the Word says if any of you, it means that the word is
talking to you, and talking to me as well. So, you cannot count yourself out
and say, He is not talking to me.
Secondly, you
must know that God does not discriminate. In Acts 10:34, the bible says, "... Of a truth I perceive that God is
no respecter of persons:" Also, Jesus said, in John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me shall
come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." In
other words, Jesus receives every one that comes to Him and He would not cast
them out. This is why the bible says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." The word stresses that
whosoever believeth in Jesus shall not perish. This means that God is
interested in all of us. God is interested in meeting our needs. God is
concerned about our problems. God is concerned about what you are going
through. He is concerned about the issue in your life.
