"My
son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart
from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are
life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."
Proverbs 4:20-22.(KJV)
Speaking the right words will cause
God's life to dominate you, and keep you in health. So, what are you going to
do to maintain such quality of life? The bible says, Proverbs 4:23, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for
out of it are the issues of
life." Proverbs 4:23 in the Good News bible says, "Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your
thoughts." The way you are thinking, decides what you believe, and
what you believe is what you will say, and what you say, decides what happens
to you.
So, you have to get the word into your heart.
Your focus now is not just trying to change what you say, but what is in your
heart. So, listen to the word, over and over again. Get your bible out and
learn to study it. As you do, you are working on your heart, because if your
heart is right, your life would also be alright. But if your heart is defiled
and evil, your life would also go in that direction.
Mark 7:21-23 says, "For from within, out of the heart of
men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murder, Thefts,
covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy,
pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
So, what defiles a man comes from his heart.
So, you have to lay up the word of
God in your heart, let those words soak into your heart. When that happens,
your life would only reflect the word, because your life reflects your heart.
So, when I look at your life I can immediately tell the way you think. When you
think that life is difficult, that will of necessity be your experience. It
will show up in your life. But when you begin to think the way of prosperity
and abundance as revealed to us in the bible, your life will begin to go in
that direction.
PRAYER
Father, I thank you for a release of
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you even as I submit my heart to the
influence of your Word and the Spirit in Jesus Name. Amen.
Proverbs 7:1, Proverbs 23:19, Luke
11:28, Job 22:22, Psalm 119:11.
