Do you really believe?

“And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.”
Matthew 9:27

That is the way some people pray. “Oh Jesus, oh Jesus, have mercy on us.” “Oh Father, have mercy on us, oh Father, have mercy on us, open the door.” The blind men in our opening scripture were following Jesus crying “… have mercy on us.” Yet they did not receive their sight. You may be going through a lot right now, but if all you are doing is to cry out to God saying, “Oh God have mercy on me.” It would not change anything.

Matthew 9:28 says, “And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this?” Jesus asked them a question, do you believe am able to do this?

One of the words for mercy in the Hebrew means, to step down to show kindness to an inferior. Jesus asked them, do you believe am able to do this. Be sincere with yourself, do you believe you can live in that house you’re praying for? Do you believe that God is willing to do it for you?

“…They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” Matthew 9:28-29. He did not say according (equivalent) to my power, but He told them according to your faith. This means that you receive from God according to your faith. The reason you don’t have it, is not because God does not want you to have it. The issue is that you don’t understand how faith works. Jesus touched their eyes, but they received according to their faith. Do you want a touch from God, do you want God to touch your business, and do you want God to touch your child? His touch is right where you want it right now. But, your receiving is up to you. He says, “According to your faith be it unto you.”

CONFESSION
I believe I receive all that God has freely given to me in Christ, according to His Power that is at work in me. I declare that I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

2 Chronicles 20:20, Mark 9:23, Mark 11:23.

DOING THE WORD
Meditate on Philippians 4:19 until it removes all limits from your mind.
