Serve God acceptably

“A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.”
 Malachi 1:6-8(KJV)

Worship takes a new meaning when you understand and practice the right way to worship the Father as revealed to us in our opening scripture. It brings you an understanding that your best should always be for the Lord. Give the first and the best to God - your time, your talent and your treasure. (Matthew 6:21)

When you are in a service in the house of God, what is your attitude? For instance if the Pastor or whoever is moderating the service tells everyone to stand up and worship the Lord, will you stand up? But do you know some people will remain sitting after such an instruction has been given? But if they are in a public function and they are told by the moderator of that event to stand upin honour of the President or the Governor, they will all stand up.

They act differently in the house of God because they do not know how to worship which reveals their lack of reverence for God. Therefore, as you learn about these things in this devotional on the right way to worship the Father acceptably, start practicing them and watch the Father promote and honour you in every way.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I acknowledge your greatness. You are the great and mighty One. The One who was, the One who is, the One who is to come. I acknowledge that there is no one else like you. You are the first and the last, the beginning and the end. You alone deserve all the glory and praise, in Jesus Name. Amen.
